Didn’t we promise ourselves to make our homeland stronger than ever?

I am a proud Anak Malaysia, I truly am.
Whenever I’m greeted as “Anak Malaysia”, a sense of pride naturally rises in my heart,
a sense of Belonging.
This is the land where my family and my loves ones live,
the land where I call Tanah Airku.

Looking back at these hopeful photos I took during #509,
I am deeply saddened by the events that is happening right now.

We thought we were heading towards the right direction.
But now, millions of rakyats are suffering, our front-liners are in war.
When is this going to end?

As a rakyat, what can I do?

跟千千万万的家庭一样，
有过去一直为这片土地和家庭付出奉献的男人，
有为这片土地孕育新生命牺牲岁月勇敢的女人，
也有对这个国家充满新希望和敬爱，相信可以看到自己明亮的未来的年轻的我们。

我们承诺守护的，努力想要看到的更好的马来西亚，
人民现在却已经奄奄一息。

想要找回这张照片里对马来西亚充满希望的眼神，
想要重新为自己是个马来西亚子民感到骄傲，
想要为我的土地做些什么。
